Editorial policy

Sourcing

We report from news agencies, official government releases and established news outlets. Wherever possible we link to the original source so readers can check it themselves.

Our use of artificial intelligence

We state this plainly: our articles are produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence. The process is this. Information is gathered from verified sources, AI drafts it into an article, and an editorial check takes place before publication.

Our author pages identify which contributors are AI-assisted. Editorial responsibility rests entirely with the director of publication.

We do not use AI to inflate volume. We publish a deliberately limited number of articles per day so that each one can still be checked.

Verification

Facts are checked before publication. Where something cannot be confirmed, we either say plainly that it is unconfirmed or we do not publish it. We never estimate figures, prices or results.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we correct the article and add a dated correction note at the end. We do not silently edit published pieces.

Independence and funding

This site is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no control over editorial content. Any sponsored content, should we publish it, is clearly labelled as such.

Images

We use freely licensed images and display the source and licence alongside each one.
